Support Your Immune System Naturally

I haven't had been sick in a few years, but last week I got a terrible cold that reminded me I haven't been taking very good care of myself lately 😐

So I thought we should talk about a few ways we can support our immune systems naturally every day!

  • Dry Brushing
It's a simple way to help stimulate your lymphatic system and support your body's largest organ - your skin! You can order one of these natural bristle brushes* I recommend from Amazon and get started with this healthy practice right away.

  • Rebounding / Trampoline
"It affects every cell in your body at once, and is particularly helpful to the immune system. That’s because the up-and- down movement, working with the force of gravity as well as against it, stimulates lymph flow—and it’s the lymphatic system that carries your white blood cells, which fight infection and help to neutralize malignant cells."

  • Build Healthy Intestinal Flora
The gastrointestinal system plays a key role in fixed immunity. If health of the GI tract is compromised, so is the immune system. A probiotic supplement such as doTERRA PB Assist+* is an excellent way to populate the GI tract with beneficial microflora, thus enhancing immunity.

  • Diffuse Essential Oils
Scientific study demonstrates that diffusion of essential oils can purify and cleanse the air, providing added protection when the seasonal threats are high. I recommend diffusing essential oils every day. Lemon and On Guard Protective Blend* contain powerful cleansing properties that purify the air we breathe, delivering positive effects on the immune system.

  • Receive regularly scheduled massage sessions
Massage helps ward off bugs by boosting your "natural killer cells," the immune system's first line of defense against invading illness. "We know that cortisol destroys natural killer cells," Field says. "Therefore, since massage decreases cortisol, your immune cells get a boost." Massage even seems to boost immunity in those people with severely compromised immune systems, such as breast-cancer patients.

I hope you're having a healthy season, and I'll see you on the table soon!

Warmly,
Cindy
