Cindy Iwlew has been working out the knots since 1999 and is passionate about her work.  She has certifications in LaStone Therapy, Ashiatsu Oriental Bar Therapy, Ashi-Thai, and Massage Cupping.   A member of Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals, Cindy offers a unique blend of modalities including deep tissue, swedish, and trigger point work in addition to her specialties. Although no two massages are exactly alike, you may request a certain technique or modality.  Typically, Cindy will create a session of blended therapies to best suit your needs. Cindy has completed the most advanced training possible of Ashiatsu Oriental Bar Therapy, and is now the Great Lakes Region Instructor for the technique.  Cindy strives to serve the best interest of her clients at all times and to provide the highest quality service possible.

In 2007, Cindy proudly joined the Battle Creek Chamber of Commerce. Bodywork By Design is located in the beautiful BC Tower in downtown Battle Creek, Michigan and accepts Visa and MasterCard.

In 2010, Cindy and her husband Berin launched Bodywork Buddy: loyal and friendly massage software for the wellness industry.  Cindy and Berin are excited to be working together in this fusion of healing arts and technology.

Being on time allows you to make the most of your session. If you are late for your appointment, I will do my best to accommodate you, time allowing. If that is not possible, you will still receive treatment at your originally scheduled time, but your appointment will be shortened. For example: If you are 15 minutes late for an hour long appointment, you will receive 45 minutes of hands on work and will be charged for the full hour.

A missed appointment is a loss to us both. To allow other clients the opportunity to schedule if you are unable to make your appointment, there is a 24 hour cancellation policy. If less than 24 hours notice is given, you will be billed and asked to honor payment for the full amount of the missed session.
Please remember that appointments are commitments made by both therapist and client. We have both committed our valuable time to each other. I will honor your time by providing you with a high-quality massage and my undivided attention to your therapeutic needs; please honor mine by arriving on time for your appointment. If this becomes impossible, please honor the time I have committed to you by only cancelling more than 24 hours before your appointment time or paying for the time I have set aside for YOU. Thank you.

If you are sick and have an upcoming appointment, please call ahead of time and reschedule. Bodywork received at this time may only serve to make you feel worse. Listen to your body!

Some things are beyond our control. You will not be billed for appointments missed for these reasons. Please call as soon as possible to let me know you will not be able to make it. I will do my best to reschedule you at your earliest convenience.

Massage & Bodywork is contraindicated during intoxication or influence of any recreational drugs or alcohol. If you are under the influence of any drug at the time of your appointment, the session will be terminated immediately.
